Feeling sorry for myself. I've been hunting whitetail since 1960, but it looks like due to health issues, I won't get to hunt whitetail this season. BUMMER ! The deer are fairly small where I hunt because it's considered desert so food and water are limited. One benefit of the terrain is, we don't have feral hogs except in the Pecos River bottom and the hogs never get more than a 1/2 mile from the river. Our hunting area is on the Pecos River about 100 miles west of Sonora Texas. But we have lots of whitetails, a few mule deer, Javelina, and a fair amount of Aoudad sheep, turkey and lots of varmints. Thought I'd post a few pictures of my 264 Deluxe and the typical deer that come to our feeders. This 264 is one of my favorite go to rifles. These pictures were taken about a month before this past weekend which was opening weekend for our season. You guys be safe hunting, and have fun. You never know when you might have to miss a season. God willing, I'll be after them next year.
