• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

.ExternalClass .EC_hmmessage P{padding:0px;}.ExternalClass body.EC_hmmessage{font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma;}I purchased aset of SAKO high rings and according the seller high ring have a hole thru on the bottom right between the scope saet and the dove tail seat, they clear perfectly my leupold 40mm. scope that was barely touching with the ring that were mounted onthe gun when I purchase it originaly (it's a finnbear 30 06 with AV action 1980s vintage I presume) now my question is the rings that I removed are midium or low ,the distance between the bottom scope base and the dove tail base is 5/16"and have sako stamped on the side and also 254 on the bottom that seat on the dove tail the" high set"is 1/2" and is also is staped sako on one side and finland on the opposite side of the base. Can some onegive me any clue about this .Thanks PDRDM.

PDRDM- The high rings do have holes and the mediums are about 5/16 up from the dovetails. Why the mediums don't clear the 40` Leupold from your barrel is most likely a shooter fit problem (set too far back) but that is a guess, since I can't see it. I haven't had a problem getting med. rings to match up with a 40 Leupold or Burris or Nikon scope. Ever. Possibly someone who owns an AV can shed some light on this for you. Regards, Mike
