Life time law enforcement shooter, but new to the Sako world, figured I'd better check with the experts.
Acquired an L61R in 30-06, with Mannlichter stock. It has a redfield 3x9, not sure the type of rings. The stock does have some dings, and the metal does have some surface rust. The action seems smooth. I think the rifle has probably been sitting in a non climate controlled storeroom for some time. The serial number is in the 528,000 range. The rifle did not come with a box or any paperwork.
I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have, when made, etc, and approximately what it's worth. On the commercial gun boards everyone thinks their rifle is "rare." I've seen prices from 750 to over 2000.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
