anyone know what the torque value is to set the barrel on a L46?
I'm fairly certain they didn't have any torque value for the barrel attachment back in the days of L46, as they don't have one today. Barrel and receiver are simply machined to certain overlapping tolerance and the barrel is torqued on until the headspace is correct. For good result the fit should be such that the barrel doesn't need to be torqued beyond the elastic deformation. When permanent deformation starts to happen at the barrel mating surface it can cause the barrel to skew to one side, which is not the end of the world, but not optimal.
