• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I've posted this question on both the old club forems, with some hehp, but no deffinite answer, so..do all the small 46, 461 etc actions use the same barrel/reciever threads? I have read an old write up that lists .080-16 whitworth std as the set up. is this correct for all the years of production? thanks, and this site looks very good, thanks Jim, Paul

Paul!
I have some catalogs on this matter and I will check and get back ASAP!
Thanks!
Jim

Paul!
Had a quick glance and came up with these:
https://www.sakoparaphernalia.com/Sako_Paraphernalia/Sako/Sidor/Technical_Broschures.html#7
and

This project 90 was implemented on the last of the A series. You can tell itxB4 s a M90 by the bottom metal being made in two parts. Also, the safety works as on the later S491, M591 and L691.
And the 3 different barrel threads gave way to one.
Hope this gives some answer! And there may be others who can add to this!
Jim

Paul!
After reading your post one more time IxB4ve checked some litterature.
In the Firearms International catalogs from 52 and 60 they state the thread as:
Withworth standard 16-.080(1952) and .80x16(1960)
In the Garcia catalogs Volume 4 and 7 it says:
.0866x1/16 W
This is what IxB4ve found for now but IxB4ll check some more!
Jim

69tl20,
Is your Triumph a 650 and on the street? _I still have my old Ducatis but only an occasional ride on a local track.
Also off topic is to ask where these barrel thread references can be found--I would like to know if any changes occurred in L61R production from Bofors era to AV production?
Thanks,
FM

algonquin; As soon as I get the frount tank mount welded and the winter WX changes to spring my t120 will be up and running are your ducks V-twins or singles? I have a real soft spot for that marque, wish I'd kept a 450 single that passed thru my hands years ago, it needed electrical work and I was moving to the left coast at the time..anyway, the wx keeps me inside for now, whitteling a stock for a 222 sako. robins in the back yard say this winter will pass, then it's on to turkeys, groundhogs and carvin' curver with the bonnie! 69t120bonnie

L61r, Kevinlg, Algonquin ; thanks for your attention to my question , as far as I can tell the small sako actions share the same barrel threads untill some time way past the manufacture of the action/barrel that I'm concerned about. my local smith measured the action that I have and compaired them to a later barrel that he had and they were the same. I'm waiting on a 222 barrel that I'm getting from a club member and another 222mag barrel that will follow from another club member. I've had a grand time getting this all together on line with the club members, and look forwards to much more of the same. 69t120bonnie
