• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Hello!

I know Rifle Magazine did a piece on the 7x33 Sako in the 1980's, and also that American Rifleman did a piece on Sako history a couple of years ago. But would anyone remember exactly which issues and years, and where to find them?

I heard of this article and would like to read it myself.
Its supposed to be very good. Oct. '03
I would love to get my hands on it. I have been meaning to try my local library.
 
I just checked my local used book store. I have three copies of the Oct. '03 American Rifleman. If anybody wants one, email me. I'll have to ask for the buck fifty I paid per copy, and postage. I'm poor y'know?
One copy is so-so, the other two are ok.
I put in a request to find more copies, I'll post as I get them.
I suppose Petter should have first choice, the rest, first come first serve.

I tried to scan it, but it has a dark background, and doesn't come out legible. I still have two copies of the mag, one is for Pettson...helloooo, are you out there?

Hi, I have been trying to get it locally.
Did you try scanning in a "copy" mode?
I appreciate the offer of the copy at such a nice price.
But I like the challenge of finding it myself for free.
So unless I come up empty handed, I will hold out for the moment.
 
I have the Rifle or Handloader article on the 7X33 Sako. It will take some looking but I will try to find it this week. From what I remember it was a popular for hunting seals.

Midway is Currently trying to sell a reloading die set for this round in there inventory reduction area.
