Picked this up last week out of curiosity. I have a 22lr and 17hm2 Anschutz that I'm very happy with so figured I couldn't go wrong.
It's a model 1448, smooth bore 22lr that says "Claybirding" new in box. It appears to be .22 cal throughout the entire bore and does not expand to a .410 like the "Routledge" bores. I believe it's built on a 1451 action. It is also stamped Tristar on the right side of the receiver which I assume means they imported it to the US. Here's the problem.... I called Anschutz North America and they have never heard of the 1448. I called Tristar and they have no record of importing it.
Does anyone have any information on this? Could it have possibly have been part of a special order by a distributor or for a specific club? And of course any idea of the value?
Thanks,
Luke
