• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Guys -

I'm new here and thining out a few that I have. Wondered if anyone might have some idea who made this synthetic stock for an A-III that I have - It has a cheek piece and Pacmayer recoil pad to go with the home, not by me, camo job: (gun is a re-barrel with an aftermarket 6.5x284 barrel - was told it was Lilja but have found no proof) If someone could help me with who made the stock and guesses as to overall value, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

My gut tells me a "Brown Precision" stock. Without handling it, I can't guess it's value. You may send it to me so I can try it out for a few trips to the Rockies for elk.- I can ship it back, with a proper opinion attached, and then you can sell it here or on ebay. Such a deal. Don't let anyone tell you I am not a nice person.BTW-- welcome to the forums. -Misako

<font style="">Misako - Have been reading this forum for a while so no doubts that you are a nice person.:wink2:

Unfortunately, I've never even shot the rifle, have all of the reloading components but always end up taking something else out of the safe to shoot.

Smallcal- You be careful what you say to a Sako guy. SA will want to move this to the "For Sale" section.

All I would really need is the stock. I have something to put in it. Sure wish someone else would weigh in on this matter. I am no expert on composite stocks.-Misako
