I'm going to look at a 6 PPC single shot 'Benchrest' with dies & Sako brass.

Not new but pristine and only 50 rounds down the barrel.

What's it it worth and what should I look for? I.e. Stock, barrel, trigger, markings...
Any special features or ways to validate it's all original?

Never looked at these before and these seem pricey.

OK, well I passed on it. Never could get feel for the cost/value. It was over $2k.

It had special trigger, floated barrel, special crown, perfect metal and near perfect wood.

I wasn't sure how much value all the PPC brass and dies might add to it... so I bought an L57/243 instead.

I'd also bought a P.O.S. L57/308 the day before (for the action, as it turns out) but the stock was repaired and I think it's been re-barrelled. Alost won't close on a 'GO' gauge.

Hi Phil, sounds like you did the right thing in passing on the 6ppc. The brass seems to run around $1 each for once fired and a little more for new if you can find them.
