    Hi Paulson, thanks for the advise, I made the trade for the scope using a safe queen I had for many years (20 GA Browning/Winchester Model 12.) Too short for me & I didn't use it. Got some cash to boot. Forester came with an older Leupold VX -II. 3 X 9 X 40 mm fine cross hairs, (for sale), not good for me. May put scope on my 30/06 AV. if I ever get it back from the gun smith! Have killed many deer & varments at our farm with .243 & am anxious to try the Forester. Hope the barrel is not shot out Rifle is as old as my oldest son.

    Heavier or longer bullets need a FASTER twist to stabilize. That's some strange coffee!! Some people get the twist thing backwards & think the higher number is the faster twist. A 1 in 10 twist is faster than a 1 in 12.
