• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

What rifles other than sako's do you hunt with?

You know.... it always feels so good being is the woods with a Sako. But I have a few peaches I "hate to love to" take to the field, because i spend more time making sure it stays a peach than hunting. That is why when I found one of the MR Mountian eagles in 270 cal., wearing a rugged BC...

What Factory 243 Ammo are you shooting in your L579?

RC i have a few 243s in L579s. Factory ammo I usually use is federal power shock or fusion, 95-100 grain...It usually shoots, if I do my part, atleast MOA, or better. Of course if you just put a scope on it may take a couple groups to get the mounts to settle and lock in. After I mount scope...

As Far as load development RC the sky is the limit. Depending on the game or vermin you are after, 95 Grain is a good weight I have found to work well all my 243s. I have been working up some Hornady V-Max 87g B-tips, but they have not done as well. Still trying to find the right combo. It is...

    sako triggers

Here is a photo of my model 72's trigger. Through research on the web, the trigger blade was definitely used in some sako /tikka triggers, but I have found none just like this yet. Like I said before I can't find a stamp. So any info is appreciated. I have been searching the forum as well, but...

    Sako Target Trigger Info

I came across a model 72 that had a trigger I had never seen before. I can't find a stamp on it anywhere. It is all open. It does not have a trigger housing like the other sako triggers I have had and pictured above. It is a fine working trigger. Breaks like ice and is nice n light. Thanks...
