Hey All!
Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board.
They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things.
The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to.
DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES!
They often state something like this:
”Hello!
Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]”
If you receive any strange messages:
Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not.
Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out!
Beware of anything that might seem fishy!
And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username.
You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our!
All the best! And be safe!
Jim
I shot 10 rounds of my Sako ammo today. One round shot a bit off and the primer was a golden colour whereas the others were silver.
I decapped them at home but found the golden coloured primer to be a berdan type.
Does anybody know of this ammo and when it might have been manufactured.

This lovely rifle came from another enthusiast from France.
I have shot it a few times and it accurate.
I'm asking 2000 USD for this lovely rifle and the buyer will be responsible for shipping
My lovely old 7x33 is going up for sale.
The only thing to fault it is that the magazine is stamped 25-20.
If you want it you will have to arrange shipping from the United Kingdom!
I have a couple of hundred Sako bullets, some once fired brass and some Sako ammunition.
I have a Simplex die set...
I had one I took to Africa (Namibia) - too much gun for the game I shot BUT it really had knock down power! VERY accurate too.
I sold it to a friend who lives in London. He'd probably sell it to you but getting it to the USA might be a problem!
With the price of secondhand Sako .243 rifle at auction (Holts or Scotarms) I wouldn't be messing around butchering a fine rifle. Just get yourself a variation on your FAC and buy an old Sako .243.
You dropped onto a lovely rifle there. I doubt I would change anything on it.
I have a Range, Varmint (with Lilja barrel) and a sporter. They are all fantastically accurate rifles.
I read somewhere a long time ago that the sporter was more accurate than the heavier barreled version but I have...
Thanks for the heads up on the stuff getting to you ok and shooting well.
I've got a boolit mould on order to use for 'plinking' but they will take small game no problem. That one and another for a Rolling Block arrived at the post office yesterday and I have to go and pay the import duty (tax)...
Hi Neil
I am collecting some SAKO rifles too, despite the local FEO not liking that as a good reason!!!
I have 3 L46's a couple of Finnbears and a SAKO Mannlicher in 308.
Based in County Durham. Whereabouts are you?

I wasn't advertising them!
However, my pal is coming over to the UK in a couple of weeks and I'll ask him to take 200 back with him and he can post them to you.
