• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I have an L469 in .222 Magnum. Can I neck size the cases with a .223 NS die?

    New here with an L469

As mentioned, I'm having the stock refinished. Today the man sent pictures of dark streaks on the cheekpiece and by the action that he cannot remove. He tried 6-7 applications of oxalic acid. No joy. He said he could stain it to make it a uniform color, but that would hide the different woods...

Thanks for the tips. I did have trouble with the rod not turning, and I tried a variety of patch sizes. I should have mentioned that before posting I consulted 3 loading manuals as well as Ken Waters' Pet Loads book. Two of the manuals had no .222 Mag loads at all. The third had data for only...

Short Actions AI .223 with Angled Stock Forend

I've posted here in two other threads. I just bot my first Sako, in .222 Magnum. Does anyone have any pet loads they would like to point me towards? Near as I can tell, the twist rate is about 1/16". Does that mean nothing heavier than 55 gr? It will be my rockchuck gun. Thanks

I just replied to another thread. I picked up my first Sako, also in .222 Mag. Mine is L469, 450XX. Any idea what the twist rate would be? I think it's about 1/16", which seems quite slow. Do you have any pet loads you would share, or the direction to point me in? As I mentioned in the other...

Short Actions Model L469 222 magnum in a maple stock

I just picked up my first Sako, L469, 450XX, in .222 Magnum, Bofors steel barrel. My stock looks like yours. The previous owner had sprayed some kind of sealer on it for protection! I'm having it professionally refinished. What I've seen of the original wood is absolutely gorgeous. The metal is...
