• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

According to the data seen here, ser# 91348 puts it in 1966 which is confusing considering the info posted by stonecreek and Old Hippie. Lots of head scratching with these old Sakos. Makes it interesting for sure.

I did remove the ladder from the rear sight and mounted a VX-1 3-9 from the cabinet. I've had these high Leupold rings sitting here for years and doubted I'd ever use them but there they are. A bit higher than I like to mount them but it leaves the rear sight base unmodified and I can easily reinstall the ladder.
I may have to search out a Burris Mini as posted by icebear. I do have the Sako rings that would work. I shot it with some 50 gr Ballistic Tips and IMR4198. Groups were about 1-1/4" for 5 shots.

Let us pray:

"Dear Lord, despite years of enlightenment since obtaining the Sako Factory Records and providing mankind with the Truth and the Light of the Randomness of Sako serial numbers, the misinformation on Sako serial numbers continues to be propagated by the Philistines of our time.

The False Prophets place before us tablets of untruth, attempting to cause us to believe that Sako serial numbers are somehow chronological and that the year Anno Domini Birth of a sacred Sako can be conjured from its number.

Lord, we beseech thee to smite those False Prophets and destroy the untruthful tablets which lead our flock astray and thus restore Truth to our peoples such that they shall know the actual Factory Records forever and ever.

Amen."

“The Fishgod sheds a tear, as he looks upon his fold. He knows the truth has been discovered, yet it still cannot be seen. He knows his true disciples look to him with faith and with confidence that the truth does not make the Sako shoot any better. Yet the Sakonites still question”….{Bloorooster-4.20}
