• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

L61R Grouping

Good day;
Can anyone share some groupings one can expect for a L61r?
I would just like to have some inputs on accuracy.
Thank you

How other rifles shoot is completely irrelevant to how yours will shoot. Most Sakos will shoot under 1.5 MOA, so if yours doesn't you may need to look for a cause & apply a remedy. Why haven't you shot yours to see how it shoots??? Seems to me that would give you a definite "input on accuracy".

Hi Paul.
Yes you are right., and I do agree.
I was just curious on typical whats possible with a L61R with perhaps factory or handloads.

Locally in South Africa its got an good reputation.

My rifle is currently in storage.

I’ve had around 20, several 270’s. All shot less than in inch, some 1/2 shooters. This is all with hand loads.

Paul has it right. All things being equal your gun will tell you what it likes. At the same time the best rifle will not shoot with lousy ammo.
I don't own an L61r but I do have a couple of L461s and a L579 and the two 461s don't shoot the same ammo to the same accuracy. Guns are like women: you gotta find out what they like.
