• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Sako Questions

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

Dear Members of Sako Collectors Club!

I have some very good news to share with you all!

As you might have read on our forum, I went to Finland last summer after receiving an invitation to Sako through a collector friend.

We had the best of times and we also established a very good relationship with the staff members and we have been in contact ever since. Some weeks ago, I did another quick trip to Riihimäki and met up with, among other, Claes Björkstén, the Marketing and Communications Director at Sako and also Sako ́s ad people.

We had a very productive meeting and the really good news is that Sako factory is really interested in working together with us at the forum, in order to make it even better for both old and new members, to enhance our community if you will.

The idea is to gradually make some changes to the forum design wise, for a modern and fresh appearance. Sako will take time to answer questions you members might have which will give us access to information that we as collectors have been craving for. Sako is also prepared to take a much more active role on the forum and are willing to let us know more about new and older models by answering our questions and also inform us about news and much much more.

We have been discussing plenty of ideas for the future but we want to ask all of you how you feel about all this and we want to ask you a few questions (click on this link) to get your input for the future site.

To do that, you can use a link which is posted on the forum but you can only access this link when you have logged in at the membership area.

Sako will also do a raffle for those of you who choose to leave your contact details when answering the questions (click on this link). They have three ”secret goodie bags” with Sako related items which they will send to the three winning participants! Free of charge, complimentary and as a token of appreciation for your willingness to help us all out! Unfortunately, no rifles or ammo this time!! I know, it ́s a drag but it is still a very nice gesture from the factory!

Please take some time to answer those questions to help us understand what you want and need for the future, as members of SCC. I can ́t say how much I appreciate you as members and how much I value your input now that we finally have a chance to build a new Sako community for the future! Not by ourselves, but together with Sako! For me personally, it ́s a dream come true!

The forum will remain almost the same, but with a new fresh look and Sako onboard! How about that guys!?

We will remain totally independent as we always have been and we will not be owned by or affiliated to Sako in any way, but perhaps sponsored by them in some respects.

Our forum will always remain the best site where to discuss Sako and Tikka, free of charge and without any real limitations just as it has been in the past! We will keep the good relations we have built over the years and the only thing needed to participate is an interest in Sako and Tikka plus a good healthy portion of humour and respect for other members.

So come on guys! Head over to the forum and let ́s answer some questions! (click on this link) Give us your input and do it now!

Take Care and Thank You!

Jim D Staf
