• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

Welcome Jan! Your 7x64, 9.3x62 & 8x68 would be very difficult or nearly impossible to find in the USA. Posting some photos of Sako rifles is always appreciated.

I have been very interested in hunting and guns for a very long time and at one time I had 35 guns in my home then I realise that I did not use many of them I had just bought them because I was curious and only showed them to friends, so I sold most of them and now I only have those guns I use for hunting, The Sako Mauser 8x68S and 3006 and Browning B25 Broadway trap gun for sporting competition and hunting and a Browning Duble auto for bird hunting and a Browning 9mm Highpower for Racon dog hunting and plinking.
The 8x68 S is original from Sako with the FN Mauser action and I think that Sako has made it because some important business man asked for it,it was sent to Germany to mounting a Claw mount with a Smidt&Bender 1,1-4 scope.
My Sako Mausers are of no interest for collectors because not much is original both have laminated stocks and are made to fit me and they are in use for hunting Moose,Roe Deer,Whith tail Deer,Wild boar and Seal.
I will try to take some pictures tomorrow.
