• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

photos are of a sako draw set in 308 W. it shows the many stages of case & projectile manufacture, shown are a fmj & a soft pt. this set would probably never have been set up on a board this way.
have owned it for quite a few years now, have always been curious of what maybe under the blue felt.
after a few beers this week it got the better of me.
started from the back, peeled the edges of the felt back a little at a time till i could see some of the front, surprised is not the word.
under is whats left of a sako bullet board.
all the pieces of the draw set are screwed on from the back. as would have been the original projectiles on this display.
a good mate has a bigger sako bullet board from about the same time, its complete. will put a photo of it up later.

Two things I've never seen before! Very educational as well. Explains the swagging process visual quiet well!

Cheers john

Unbelievable! Same goes for the bullet board photo. I'm just staggered at the odd curiosities that SAKO made.
Many thanks for posting Susanna, very interesting.

Cheers

This is a great board,
I wonder if it was ever distributed, or if the items were picked up on a factory visit.
Back in the day, Visiting the factory was highly talked about, by many Aussies.
Either way it is a very nice item,
Thanks for sharing!
