• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

front swivel stud - missing part

hello hello
A1 223 varmint---- the front swivel stud is missing the bbl channel 'nut'.
unlike older models having a rectangle steel washer and standard nut, my A1 has a different set-up. From the outside, it has a recessed hole but, the bbl channel has a 'mystery' and appears to use a unique stud as the through hole is very narrow.
what part(s) am I missing?

thank you in advance

What ever parts are missing will be next to impossible to find. Just get an Uncle Mike's front swivel stud with the round nut, drill the appropriate size countersunk hole for the nut on the inside of the stock & install it. If you don't have the right drill bits, any smith can install it in about 10 minutes.

eBay has them sometimes..a full set (front and back) sold recently for $150
Bloo, I had that same model & it came with swivel studs not the full sling loops. Full set of Uncle Mike's, which are exactly the same as Sako used, sell for about $12-$15! I will say I never saw the hole in the barrel channel like the OP's. Maybe his is an oddball.

My bad bro’s I wasn’t paying good attention to the period. I saw the first pic of the B channel route and assumed that it was earlier. Studs are correct 👍
