• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Just adjusted the weight of pull of my AIII trigger. Backed out the screw by 1 turn, did a considerable difference but my knowledge in gunsmithing is limited so i didn't want to go further. I had trouble to get the jam nut off i had to file an 1/4 wrench, what the size is these nut? 17/64? Well i couldn't find any key for it so i did my own. Any1 else did this and if yes how many turn did you back it off? Thanks in advance, appreciated.

The #4 Sako trigger in your AIII can be adjusted down to about 2 lbs or so, depending on the individual trigger. Trying to go lower will make the safety not function properly or work at all. There is no "number of turns" that one can turn it to get a particular pull weight & playing with it without an understanding of how it functions or it's limitations is risky business. The lock nut is metric & if I recall correctly is somewhere in the 6 to 7mm range. There is a thread here on the forum that discuss the #4 trigger adjustment that it would behove you to read. Taking it to a gunsmith, if one is available near you, for proper adjustment would be better yet.
