Hey All!
Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board.
They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things.
The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to.
DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES!
They often state something like this:
”Hello!
Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]”
If you receive any strange messages:
Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not.
Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out!
Beware of anything that might seem fishy!
And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username.
You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our!

I added thumbnail 1043 for a side by side of the two. The 308 has the 20x Nikon, the .223 the M-8. If anyone is interested I would be glad to post details of the buttstocks, barrels, barrel marks, etc.

backstory is women purchased in Germany in 1989 with father in law. Brought back to states in 1991.
.308 with a 20x Nikon. Not sure what model it is or value, but it is in perfect shape. Appears unfired. Not a scratch, nick or mark on the rifle.
also will post an AII in .223 that had a Leupold...

I checked the serial numbers online and the range for both the AI and AII showed 1989 manufacture ..will check for name of site but it had the models down one column, the serial ranges, then the dates of those ranges
but, could check with sako and pay the fee, no objection to that

Enjoy other forums and would like to learn about care and maintenance of sako rifles. I just purchased two like new 1989 rifles...do not even know what models but they have hooded front sights and 23' barrels. One is AII with 579 action in .308 with 20x Nikon. Second is AI 461 with 2x8 leupold...
