Hi guys, glad to be a new member here. I've been interested in Sakos for a while now. I always heard a lot of good things about them. My dad has a finnlight in 300 win. He loves it and it is one of his main hunting rifles. I myself do some target shooting, some hunting, and also have a modest collection of firearms of various types. Recently I ended up buying a Sako I had my eye on for a while at a local gun shop. It was on consignment, in excellent condition, with what looks like very little use. It's a 85 in 375 H&H. Not sure if it's the hunter model or not? It came with the rings. I ended up putting a Leupold
vx3i 3.5x10x40. I was thinking I was gonna go with the lower magnification vx3i 2.5x8x36 but found it did not have any adjustment with the long action and rings it had come with. Overall I am already in love with this gun although I have not yet shot it. I'm expecting it to have typical Sako accuracy and a bit of a kick. This weekend I will be going out to my buddy's range to sight it in and should be able to report how it went with a picture or two.
