• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Hi guys, glad to be a new member here. I've been interested in Sakos for a while now. I always heard a lot of good things about them. My dad has a finnlight in 300 win. He loves it and it is one of his main hunting rifles. I myself do some target shooting, some hunting, and also have a modest collection of firearms of various types. Recently I ended up buying a Sako I had my eye on for a while at a local gun shop. It was on consignment, in excellent condition, with what looks like very little use. It's a 85 in 375 H&H. Not sure if it's the hunter model or not? It came with the rings. I ended up putting a Leupold image.jpeg vx3i 3.5x10x40. I was thinking I was gonna go with the lower magnification vx3i 2.5x8x36 but found it did not have any adjustment with the long action and rings it had come with. Overall I am already in love with this gun although I have not yet shot it. I'm expecting it to have typical Sako accuracy and a bit of a kick. This weekend I will be going out to my buddy's range to sight it in and should be able to report how it went with a picture or two.

Look like quite a nice stick of wood for something just bought off the shelf. Looking forward or seeing how it shoots for you.

Marcus
