• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

7 X33 Sako Ammunition for sale on GunBroker

Don't know whether anyone on here has or shoots a 7x33 Sako, but did notice this listing for some 7x33 Sako custom-loaded ammunition on GunBroker this morning:

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=501483992

Not vintage Sako manufacture. Appears to come from a company called "A.C.A", and is loaded in Bertram (Australian) brass, with Boxer primers (so reloadable), with "custom 75 grain, .286" diameter, FMJ - Full Metal Jacketed, Round Nose, Flat Base bullets." Not sure why the bullet diameter would be .286", rather than the usual .284" found with all the 7 mm. cartridges I'm aware of.

So...for what it's worth. Yours for the bargain-basement price of $130 for a box of 20 cartridges.

My 200 original Sako rounds and 100+ once fired cases would allow me to buy a new car if I sold them at that price!

God knows what the L46 in 7x33 would fetch - it's in mint condition. You'd cry if you knew what I paid for the gun, the ammo (I shot 100 to generate the brass) and a 7x33 die set!!!

I'm not crying, we have all felt that pain, but it soon subsides

Tell us more about your treasure!

There were 3 L46 rifles for sale at an auction I went to (maybe a dead shooter's effects???). I could not afford all three so I bid on and won the 7x33. The ammo and dies also sold at the same auction. Total outlay was around GB£500 ($700 or thereabouts) - I couldn't believe my luck.
The first shots were fired on Short Siberia range at the Bisley Ranges run by the British NRA. The very first round weni dead centre of the target at 100 yards.
The rifle is in lovely condition.
I am about to load some of the cases with 100gr Hornady bullets backed by 22gr Vhitavouri 130 powder.
I want to shoot a Roe deer so as to get one of the 7x33 shirts on here.

congrats dodgy !....sounds like you scored a great one, one that anyone one of us on this planet would enjoy having.

But, we're not going to let you off that easy.....we like pictures on this site. Sako Porn we call it. Please post some pics if you can !!

Awesome and welcome to the 7x33 Club!
just a side note you just have to like the 7x33 to be a member.
Also do you know the pressure of that load?
always better to start low
