• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

This beautiful gun has never been fired. My dad bought it in 1968/1969 while living in Whitefish, MT. He had just bagged his first ever elk with a borrowed gun and bought this Sako to be his first ever hunting rifle. We moved before the next elk hunting season and this gun has been a safe queen ever since. It is in excellent shape, unmarked and unmarred. I have the original hang tags that will go with the rifle. I am asking $1700. The link below will link you to photos.

jcol, welcome to Sako Collectors Club!

That looks like a pristine example of a late FI-imported standard Finnbear. I can't tell from the photos if it is marked "Bofors Steel" on the RH side of the barrel. It was made just about the time that the Bofors mark was dropped, so it might or might not.

Let us know which it is, and be sure to send scottbitterman the info from the hang tag (inspection date, etc.) to add to our database.

I just (finally!) checked the right side of the barrel and there is no marking of "Bofors Steel". I also have the hang tag information for Scott Bitterman. I just have to figure out how to pm on this site.

Still never been fired, but I am lowering the price from $1700 to $1400 because other guns/parts are calling my name. I will ship the gun and hang tags in a hard case to you. It is a great price.

The original is as follows:
